Liebherr USA, Co. expanded its U.S. operations with the opening of a new facility in Lodi, California. The location supports customers in the western region through crane sales, equipment service, repairs, parts distribution, and technical assistance. The facility brings together two Liebherr divisions to improve customer support and provide access to a wider range of mobile cranes, crawler cranes, and foundation equipment.
New Lodi Facility Strengthens Liebherr’s Western U.S. Support Network
Liebherr USA established its Lodi, California location to provide closer support for customers operating construction equipment across the western United States. The facility offers sales, service, and repair capabilities for new and used mobile cranes, duty-cycle crawler cranes, lift version crawler cranes, piling rigs, and drilling rigs.
Located at 880 South Beckman Road in Lodi, the facility serves as a regional hub for Liebherr’s equipment support activities. It includes service bays, a warehouse, and office space to support daily operations.
The branch provides several customer services, including:
- Technical assistance and field service support
- Yard storage for consignment cranes
- Parts stocking and replenishment
- Equipment repairs and maintenance services
- Inventory storage and rental fleet deployment
The new location allows Liebherr to improve equipment support and respond more efficiently to customer requirements in the western region.
Two Liebherr Divisions Operate From the Lodi Location
The Lodi facility operates with support from two Liebherr USA divisions: the Mobile and Crawler Cranes division and the Crawler Cranes and Foundation Equipment division.
The cooperation between these divisions allows Liebherr to provide customers with a broader selection of crane equipment and expanded product support from one location.
Mobile and Crawler Cranes Division Offers Flexible Lifting Solutions
The Mobile and Crawler Cranes division provides a range of crane solutions designed for different construction applications. The division offers mobile cranes with telescoping or lattice booms installed on wheeled or crawler-tracked undercarriages.
These cranes are designed to support both road and off-road operating requirements. Liebherr’s mobile crane range available through the division extends from 40 U.S. tons to 3,000 U.S. tons.
The equipment combines mobility with lifting capacity, allowing customers to select cranes based on project requirements and operating conditions.
Crawler Cranes and Foundation Equipment Division Expands Product Availability
The Crawler Cranes and Foundation Equipment division at the Lodi facility provides equipment for lifting, piling, and drilling applications.
The product range includes crawler cranes, duty-cycle crawler cranes, piling rigs, drilling rigs, and related attachments.
Available attachments include:
- Rotary drives
- Hammers
- Vibrators
These products support Liebherr customers requiring specialized equipment for foundation and heavy construction operations.
Strategic California Location Improves Equipment Distribution
The Lodi facility is located in California’s Central Valley, approximately 84 miles west of San Francisco and about 36 miles south of Sacramento.
The location provides logistical advantages by improving access to customers in the western United States. Liebherr stated that the facility will help accelerate the distribution of parts and services while allowing the company to respond more quickly to customer inquiries.
Tobias Haemmerle, Divisional Director of Liebherr USA, Co. Crawler Cranes and Foundation Equipment Division, said the Lodi branch would improve the company’s ability to service and support local customers in their respective time zones.
Liebherr USA’s Continued Expansion in the United States
The opening of the Lodi facility supports Liebherr USA’s goal of strengthening customer support and equipment distribution throughout the United States.
The location represents an expansion of Liebherr’s regional support network by combining equipment sales, service capabilities, parts availability, and technical assistance.
The facility officially opened with a small opening ceremony held on September 12, 2017.
